Overview:
A combined 0-2 in the State Championship game, both Andrean and Linton-Stockton are looking for their first title. Andrean made it here in 2000, Linton much more recently in 2013. But, the storyline here is that one of them will finally have a trophy to take home.
Neither trip to Banker’s Life came easy. Andrean had to fight off double-OT last weekend over a very difficult and veteran Frankton group. Linton-Stockton had to grind out of one of, if not, the toughest Regionals in the state. But, this looks to be a very interesting and difficult matchup.
Andrean was able to control the game against Frankton because they have been so physical and tough going at the rim. Kyle Ross was a challenge and John Carrothers might have played one of his best games of his career. For Linton, they will be able to throw a few different guys at Ross with the Robbins twins. But, the more fun matchup will be John Carrothers vs. Lincoln Hale. Both tall guards that thrive on getting into the lane and make plays.
Of all of the games, this could end up being the most entertaining of them because of the physical play and toughness both teams possess. They do matchup on paper fairly well and have advantages on the offensive ends of the floor. Expect a ton of plays to be made in this one.
Prediction: Linton-Stockton 57, Andrean 56
