Prep Hoops will do its first set of rankings for the 2022 Class in late April. Lets take a early look at some names you should expect to see near the top. (THESE PLAYERS AREN’T IN ANY CERTAIN ORDER).
Dylan Williams – Irmo HS
Williams a point guard has seen good minutes since his 8th grade season for the Yellow Jackets. Williams plays with a great demeanor on the floor and is constantly in the right position. Williams plays for legendary Head coach Tim Whipple.
Luke Bracey – Rock Hill HS
Bracey 6’5 left-handed forward has great hands and a soft touch facing up to the basket. Bracey informed Prep Hoops he would be running the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars York County.
Lebron Thomas – Lee Central HS (Bishopville) (pictured on front)
Thomas had a great freshman season for the Stallions. averaging 11.7 ppg this season. Thomas plays very poised on the floor for his age. Thomas 6’2 looks to be the future of the basketball program here at Lee Central HS.
Julian Phillips – Blythewood HS
Phillips 6’6 might be the best player in this class. Phillips is so effective around the cup and saw major minutes this season for the Bengals and Head coach Zeke Washington.
Kylic Horton – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Horton 6’4 is a big wing player for the Saints. Horton won a SCISA Class A State Championship this past season at (29-0). Horton averaged 14.5 ppg his season. Horton will run with Team SC on the Grassroots Circuit.

Howell 6’5 is a very versatile forward for the bulldogs. Living on the coast I was able to see Howell play several times this season for the Bulldogs. Howell has the ability to play inside-out on the floor.
Russell Branch – Barnwell HS
Branch has been a fixture the past few seasons for the Warhorses. Branch looks to be running with Upward Stars Riverfront this Grassroots season.
