1. DeVontes Cobbs SG 6’3″ Shadow Mountain
Cobbs is a long and athletic scoring guard. He is a terror in the open court and plays above the rim. He is a downhill scorer but can also hit the catch 3pt shot. He is a stud on-ball defender and plays the passing lanes with the best of them.
2. Andrew King SG 6’1″ Desert Vista
King is one of the better scorers in the class. He had some huge games on varsity already including 25 points versus Desert Ridge with 7 3pt shots made and 18 points versus Mountain Pointe. He has great length with huge feet and big hands. He can attack the rim but is more of a perimeter shooter currently.
3. Blessing Nwotite CG 6’1″ Paradise Honors
Nwotite is a defensive scorer. He is a strong on the break, can throw it down, can make plays for others and shoot it from deep. He is a tough minded competitor and also already had major success on varsity. He could be the next West Side star.
4. LJ Ginnis PG 5’8″ South Mountain
Ginnis is the top pure PG in the class currently. He may be small but a true burner and elite quickness. He’s been compared to Jovan Blacksher and he may be very close. He sees plays developing and is a ball hawk on defense using his speed and lateral quickness. He has a nice pull-up from mid-range and a capable deep shooter.
5. Garrison Phelps SG 6’4″ St. Mary’s
Phelps is another scorer with great size. He is very long and athletic and can defend multiple positions. He has a high IQ, he is a good passer and can shoot the three. He needs to continue working on his ball handling, improve his strength and add a middle game.
6. Trenten Lavender PG 6’0″ Centennial
Lavender can be a pure PG plus score it. He can shoot it comfortably from the 3pt line and can pull-up off the dribble. He has a good frame, good length and the son of the head coach plays with a high IQ and is very poised.
7. Nate Pickens CG 6’0″ Dysart
Pickens is a born scorer. He can shoot it from anywhere and is arguably the most polished of the group. He can shoot off the catch and off the dribble from mid to the 3pt line. He can facilitate but is more of a natural scorer. He has good quickness and he is a fearless shooter.
