140 rising sophomores are ranked. Our first edition was a watch list following the end of travel season in July. We’ve since added 66 prospects.
Here is a look at the Top 10 and some notable players that will make a ton of noises this summer and beyond.
No. 1: Gregg Glenn 6’6 G Calvary Christian
The emerging prospect down south is big, strong and tough to guard. He has an offer from Iowa State currently. FSU, Miami, Clemson and LSU are all showing heavy interest.
No. 2: Jarace Walker 6’6 F IMG
Walker certainly isn’t built like a kid who is only a freshman but the muscular slashing guard/forward is aggressive and improving all around. He has an offer from Hampton.
No. 3: Caleb Houstan 6’7 F Montverde
Perhaps the next superstar from Montverde, Houstan is being brought along slowly and by this time next fall, I fully expect him to be in a good place to break out.
No. 4: Dariq Whitehead 6’6 F Montverde
Arkansas Little Rock, Rutgers, Seton Hall, USC, West Virginia and LSU represent the six offers for Whitehead. This kid is a dog with freakish athleticism.
No. 5: Fanbo Zeng 6’9 F Windermere Prep
Zeng is coming along and certainly not done growing. He already holds offers from FGCU, Tulane and UAB.
No. 6: Jett Howard 6’4 G University
Howard has all the tools to be a stud quickly with his handles, jumper and all-around mature confidence.
No. 7: Demari Henderson 5’11 G Seminole
Quick, athletic and filled with burst, Demari Henderson is already drawing a plethora of interest from Division I programs.
No. 8: Jacari Henderson 5’11 G Seminole
See above because both Henderson are interchangeable and really quick at the point of attack. UF, UCF, LSU, Oregon and Texas are interested in both the brothers.
No. 9: Jaylen Martin 6’5 G FSU High
Arkansas Little Rock and Stetson have offered the bruiser. Martin is a tough cover inside and he’s able to grab boards and get around defenders routinely.
No. 10: Ryan Nembhard 6′ G Montverde
A flashy point guard following in his brother Andrew’s footsteps at Montverde. He has UF and Stanford offers already.
Others to watch:
11. Eric Dailey Jr. 6’6 F IMG – A long, quick and a sound shooter and attacker. Has interest from Texas and FSU already.
12. Emanuel Sharp 6’3 G Blake – confident lead point man with a polished jumper.
13. Malik Reneau 6’4 F Mater – Lengthy wing who likes to get inside.
14. Ben Middlebrooks 6’9 F Westminster – Fierce rebounder and competitor.
15. Ven Allen Lubin 6’6 F Orlando Christian Prep – Very athletic and quick learner.
16. Jah Nze 6’3 F Hagerty – A scoring threat with a ton of strength.
17. Prince Mosengo 6’8 F Victory Rock – Big man who likes to score on cuts to the hoop.
18. Taylor Hendricks 6’7 F University – Long and skinny, but smart down low.
19. CJ Hawkins 6’5 G Berkeley Prep – Strong and physical jumbo guard.
