2020 Rankings Update: New No. 1
Not only is there a new no. 1 player in Ohio’s 2020 class in Zeb Jackson, each place in the top five is occupied by a new prospect.
Following the dynamic combo guard from Maumee Valley are John Hugley, Mo Njie, Devontae Blanton, and Garvin Clarke.
Hugley, in particular, leap-frogged several prospects on his way to no. 2. He has become noticeably more dominate around the basket while also playing more of a factor when the pace of a game picks up. We feel confident forecasting a high-major commitment from Hugley over the next 18 months.
Blanton, too, made a leap, jumping up six spots. The St. Edward wing’s game has become way more efficient given his improved shooting ability — he’s scoring the ball with less dribbles. The combination of Blanton’s skill and size sets him apart from other wings in 2020.
