A lot of coaches prefer to not offer kids early, in order to see which kids rise to the top. State tournaments always produce stock risers and “where has this kid been” moments. Recruiting has been heating up this month for athletes all over the state. Shout out to Bama Mixtape for their unsigned senior event.
Kobe Brown (Lee-Huntsville)- The 2019 3 Star G/F has received his release from Texas A&M following the change in staff. Kobe averaged 24-12-8 on the year. We expect HM and P5 schools to be all over Kobe.
Eddie Smith (Huffman)- Eddie has picked up several offers this spring. The 2019 CG has picked up JUCO offers from Snead St, Bevill St, and Gasden St. He also picked up an offer from Langston University.
Anthony Brown (Midfield)- One of the state’s best big men is off the board. Brown signed with Bevill State. Brown was a double double machine, and one the top rebounders in the state.
Sabatian Terry (Lawrence Co)- Terry is another big man signing by Bevill State. Terry was a force down low this season averaging 16 points, 13 boards, and 4 blocks per game.
J.J. Taylor (Saraland)- Taylor has signed with Gasden State. The 6’3 SG was a critical piece for Saraland this season. He signs after attending the BAMA Mixtapes’ Unsigned Senior event.
Micah Fallin (Cleveland)- Fallin signs with Roane State in TN. The 6’2 CG is a very athletic offensive minded perimeter player. Fallin has the athleticism to play and guard all 3 perimeter spots.
Kam Harris (Bessemer City)- Harris has signed with Bevill State. Kam is an electric combo guard who can score at all 3 levels and is a tough nosed competitor.
Fernandus Brown (Bessemer City)- Bevill State is at it again. The 6’8 F/C has signed with Bevill State. Brown is a high motor athlete with the ability to impact the game on both ends.
Kendon Knight (Sidney Lanier)- The 6’7 G/F was recently offered by Wallace-Selma. Knight is a very long perimeter player. Knight plays with tons of confidence and has the ability to play multiple positions.
Austin Kelley (Pleasant Home)- Kelley is a very skilled 6’7 F, who averaged over 17 points, 12 boards, and 4 assists per game. He took an official visit to Christian Brothers (D2) and picked up offers from Shelton St CC, Shorter (D2), and Asbury University (NAIA).
