It’s purpose, to gauge talents across borders, would be more pertinent earlier in the season. Now, it’s more of a disruption amid the thick of the conference season.
But ignore the pessimistic introduction, there’s still an amazing weekend slate ready for us to preview and cover.

The Game I’m Most Excited About:
Illinois will be squaring off against Wisconsin’s biggest and brightest this Saturday. There won’t be much winning on the Illinois side, but New Trier has the best chance to notch a win over Racine Park. Trier is perhaps the second best program in this bracket behind Sussex Hamilton and is eager to make themselves known across state boundaries. Case, on the other hand, will be playing the day after a high-profile matchup against Racine Park. It will be an intriguing storyline to follow, seeing how the team plays on a back-to-back.
The Prospect I’m Most Excited to Watch:
Waupun’s Marcus Domask is ranked as my most exciting prospect in this tournament. As a guy that’s atop a very overlooked 2019 class for Wisconsin, he’s had no trouble dominating Wisconsin’s frontcourts. It’s whether he can maintain this production against out of state players that can really help his stock. But, that’s easier said than done, as he will likely be defended by 6’10 center, Taeyon Neal (Chicago Providence-St). Neal has displayed great defensive prowess this season and maybe the toughest big Domask will play all season.
