Nicolet
Nicolet may be the best team in Wisconsin regardless of division. The Knights will have the target on their back once the tournament rolls around. With the trio of Jalen Johnson, Jamari Sibley, and Kobe Johnson, Nicolet is going to be very difficult to beat.
La Crosse Central
La Crosse Central could be a dangerous team. The Red Raiders have lost two games this year, but only one has come against a Wisconsin school. Johnny Davis and Jordan Davis are combining for over 37 points per contest. Watch out for La Crosse Central come March.
Kaukauna
In last year’s tournament, the Ghosts took home the Division Two crown. Kaukauna will have a shot at repeating in 2019. Kaukauna’s three-headed monster in Donovan Ivory, Logan Jedwabny, and Keaton Ferris will surely not go down easily. Despite their inconsistency, this team has enough talent to make some serious noise this year.
Milwaukee Washington
Led by Michael Foster and Deontay Long, Milwaukee Washington is a prime contender in the D-2 championship race. Milwaukee Washington came up just short in last year’s championship game, falling by just two points to Kaukauna. While the duo of Foster and Long have been forced to carry the load a little more this year, this is still a team that can challenge for the coveted golden ball.
Onalaska
Onalaska has been a solid team all season long. The Hilltoppers currently hold an impressive record of 15-3. Onalaska has six players who are averaging over five points per game. This balanced scoring will make the Hilltoppers a very tough out in March. This team has the potential to become a giant killer and take down a team that would be heavily favored over them.
