Games Of The Week:
Tuesday February 5th –
Newark (15-3) @ Olentangy Liberty (14-4): Newark will go on the road to play a real tough Olentangy Liberty team, that may be playing their best ball of the season. Liberty is big time, led by Ben Roderick. Newark will rely on a very disciplined approach, as they’re one of the best coaches teams around. The Wildcats will rely on production from Keshawn Heard, who is their leading scorer at 13.3 PPG.
Canal Winchester (17-1) @ Pickerington North (14-4): Canal Winchester was undefeated until their slip-up against Groveport Madison. Still a one-loss team, they will go into Pickerington to play a tough North team. Led by newly committed Ohio State Buckeye DE, Jack Sawyer will do work for the Panthers as always. The sophomore is one of the best in the state, at both sports. This one should be one of the best this week.
Friday February 8th –
Pickerington North (14-4) @ Reynoldsburg (14-4): Pickerington North pops up on our top games this week for a second time. With a tough schedule this week, they’ll also have to go on the road against a solid Reynoldsburg team. Reynoldsburg at a 14-4 record, is having about the best season they could imagine, behind Senior Ben Fort. Make sure you check this one out at the Burg, also a 7:30 tip.
Saturday February 9th –
Hilliard Davidson (14-3) @ Hilliard Bradley (16-0): The Battle Of Hilliard will be a big one on Saturday. Davidson is one of the more underrated teams in Central Ohio, led by Jacob Drees and Gage Keys. Bradley will play disciplines hoops behind Matt Allocco, the Bradley floor general. After losing Jack Pugh for the season, Hilliard Bradley has remained undefeated, which is very impressive. But, they will have a tough one when Davidson comes cross-town Saturday night.
Newark (15-3) @ Pickerington Central (17-1): Newark, like Pick North, has one of the tougher schedules this week. Also, on Saturday, will be heading to Pickerington Central for a tough showdown. If Newark picks up an early week win, that could send them with a lot of momentum into this one. But, they’re playing a different monster in Pickerington Central, who is led by future D1 guard Javohn Garcia. Also, a game you won’t want to miss on Saturday night.
