American Fork vs. Pleasant Grove
Pleasant Grove was able to hold off American Fork as they won the Region 4 Championship. Casey Brown and Tyler Fairbanks combined for 55 points. Casey had a season high 31 points in the win. Isaac Johnson and Tanner Cuff a combined 43 points in the loss. This was game number two which was closer but was still a difficult task for AF. Could they meet one more time? We think so, and most coaches know that beating at team 3 times in one season is a tall task.
West Jordan vs. Taylorsville
With a few seconds to go Taylorsville had a shot to get into a play-in game but Cameron Millican’s shot rimmed out as he heaved a three-pointer from the wing over three defenders. Cameron had 26 points in the loss. West Jordan survives and now has the privilege of playing Kearns.
Cottonwood vs. Brighton
Cottonwood eliminated Brighton from the playoffs as Eli Reynolds went off for 25 points. Both teams finished 3-7 in region play.
Orem vs. Payson
Orem escaped another close game as they beat Payson by 3. Puka Nacua had 22 points to lead the Tigers as they went 12-0 in region play. Payson will coin flip for the 2 or 3 seed with Lehi.
Copper Hills vs. Riverton
Copper Hills had a scare against Riverton (2 OT) as Riverton now falls to the 3 seed. In all reality the three seed seems to be a better spot to be in. A Riverton win would’ve created chaos in region three as it would’ve created a 3 way tie for 1st place.
Murray vs, Highland
Murray was fighting for it’s playoff lives as they were able to beat Highland on senior night. Ajak Arok had 20 points in the win. Highland couldn’t slow Murray down in the 4th. They were lead by Jackson Hawes, Liki Makaui and Nate Warr.
