Copper Hills (14-5) at Herriman (13-8)
No matter who wins this region it will be a major matchup in round 2 of the playoffs. It’s almost better to finish 3rd as that team would avoid a Region 4 team in the 2nd round. Stone Hutchings, Tyler Bush and Trevon Allfrey will have some great matchup’s with Jael Vaughn, Blake Freeland and LeGrand Burgess. In thier first meeting Copper Hills won by 11 points. Herriman’s homecourt advantage will be much needed if they want to beat Copper Hills.
Prediction: Copper Hills by 8
Timpanogos (15-5) at Skyridge 16-4)
In their last meeting Timpanogos was shocked as Skyridge earned it’s first victory over the T-Wolves in their short history. Both teams look to assert themselves. Trevon Snoody and Duncan Reid are both healthy and Timpanogos needs another big game from Matt Norman.
Prediction: Timpanogos by 3
Lehi (13-8) at Orem (15-4)
Lehi had a close game against Orem in their 1st meeting as they fell by 8. This game could come down to what each team learned and who is willing to adjust. Taft Mitchell is playing lights out but is being overshadowed by his football teammate. Kevin Windsor for Lehi might have to go off for 30 if they hope to win.
Prediction: Orem by 12
Pleasant Grove (18-2) at Lone Peak (12-8)
Lone Peak lost by 10 to PG in meeting number 1. The Knights need to figure out a way to get Matt Van Komen off the court. If they can get him in foul trouble Lone Peak might have a chance. Noah Smithson will need a 25 point performance if Lone Peak wants to have a chance.
Prediction: Lone Peak by 2
