Teams To Watch Out For:
Hilliard Bradley (20-1): Hilliard Bradley is one of the most well coached teams in the area. Led by Junior guard Matt Allocco, Bradley is a team you won’t want to matchup with. Just one-loss on the season to Hilliard Davidson, the Panthers are for real. A team that plays the toughest defense around, as well as a balanced offense, that will juice the clock and limit possessions. Hilliard Bradley is a tough team, with some tough wins. Including wins over Walnut Ridge, Springfield and Newark to name a few.
Upper Arlington (15-5): When fully healthy, Upper Arlington was a tough task for any opponent. Missing a handful of games, Max Martz is back and healthy for the Golden Bears. Which, isn’t a good note for opposing teams. The Penn commit is the leader of a handful of solid players in the UA rotation. Despite the third place finish in their league, Upper Arlington did their damage. The only team to defeat Dublin Coffman in the regular season is Upper Arlington. A well coached team that relies on leadership from the upper class. A trio of scorers that can really bring it to you to say the least. Watch out for the nine-seeded Golden Bears in the district.
Pickerington Central (21-1): Pound for pound, Pickerington Central is loaded, and one of the toughest teams in the state. A team that can beat you in virtually every way, you won’t want to matchup with. The Tigers are led by future D1 player Javohn Garcia, who is a handful to deal with. With their only loss coming by upset to a good Pickerington North team, the Tigers are coming in to the postseason strong. A physical team with good depth, that can wear you down. Look for Pick Central to make a nice run in the tourney.
Dublin Coffman (20-1): Another one loss team in the area, is Dublin Coffman. The Rocks have one of the best, if not the best, starting rotations around. Led by Junior guard Dominiq Penn, Coffman is one of the best offensively sound teams you will watch. With a handful of players who can get their own bucket, Dublin is going to be hard to stop the next couple weeks. Only loss on the season as I mentioned coming to a tough Upper Arlington team. However, watch out for the Shamrocks in the tournament.
Hilliard Davidson (17-5): Hilliard Davidson quietly was one of the better teams in Central Ohio. Led by Jacob Drees and Gage Keys, the Wildcats lost just five games on a tough schedule. Davidson plays a smooth brand of team ball, with their fair share of shooters. Wins over Olentangy Liberty, Upper Arlington, Logan and Springfield cap an impressive resume for this Hilliard team. Davidson will be a tough outing for any team that comes in to reach with them.
