Sectional Semifinal Scores:
Canal Winchester 60, Dublin Jerome 58 (Overtime): Coming in the slight favorites, Canal Winchester had to give everything to pull this one out. The Indians got a big 18 points from junior Bilal Sow to lead the way. In a tough losing effort, Jerome played really well, just couldn’t outlast a good Canal team. Dan Lee led the way for Jerome with 18 points.
Grove City 60, Logan 58 (Overtime): In another overtime game, fans saw the Greyhounds pull a big upset win over Logan. Trailing by double-digits, Grove City went on a big run to cap the upset. With a chance to avoid upset, the Chiefs just couldn’t make it happen. A great career for senior Bo Myers.
Delaware Hayes 56, Westerville Central 55: The Pacers and Westerville Central went down to the wire with this one. Senior Terin Kinsway was the deciding factor in this one, with 27 points for Hayes. Central was a tough out for Hayes, Chaz Dixon with a big 25 points despite the loss.
Hilliard Davidson 46, New Albany 38: A game that was a lot closer then what the Cats would have wanted it, despite the win. A close game all along, Davidson was able to get some breathing room in the third quarter. Gage Keys and Jacob Drees combined for 19 points in the win.
Gahanna 61, Dublin Scioto 53: Gahanna heavily relied on their youngster in this one. Freshman Sean Jones led the way with 19 points for the Lions. Dapreis Owens was solid for Scioto, tallying a team high 16 points. Gahanna will take on Big Walnut next.
Groveport 50, St. Charles 40: A game that Groveport was able to grind out in the second half. Doing a solid job of containing Jared Frey did numbers for Groveport. Javon Miller and Nakhi Taylor combined for 25 points in the win. Freshman Jared Frey had 10 points in the loss for St. Charles.
