Class A The Saints finish the season perfect at (29-0)
Clarendon Hall defeated Cathedral Academy 57-41 in the SCISA Class A State Championship. The Saints finished the season at (29-0) under Head Coach Anthony Reitenour..The Saints defeated Cathedral Academy three times this season on its ways to a perfect season.
Zyan Gilmore (2020) and Traveon Davis (2020) both led the way with 16 points a piece in the game. Freshman Kylic Horton (2022) added 13 points while older brother Tyrese Mitchum (2020) chipped in with 8 points. The Saints will return everyone back from this seasons team.
Class AA Hilton Head Prep wins the State Championship
The Hilton Head Prep Dolphins finished the season with a 57-43 win over Shannon Forest Christian to claim the SCISA Class AA State Championship. The Dolphins (26-2) finished the season on a 25 game winning streak.
Avern Montague (2019) led the way with 15 points, Haddith Stewart (2019) added 11 points, Stone McDonald (2020)10 points and Tyrone Calloway 9 points.
Head Coach Jerry Faulkner won his 8th overall state championship as a coach. Faulkner has a career record (838-278) in 40 seasons of coaching. Hilton Head Prep won its first state championship in 28 years dating back to 1991.
The Shannon Forest Christian Crusaders finish the season at (28-1). North Greenville University signee David Muncy finished the game with 22 points. Sam Wheeler (2021) ended the night with 10 points while Erskine College commit Adam Frank added 6 points.
Class AAA The Cardinals claim the Championship
This season in the SCISA 3 new state champions were crowned. The Cardinal Newman Cardinals defeated city rival Hammond 57-41 to claim the championship.
The Cardinals (25-5) won their first state title since 2013. The Cardinals finished runner-up in 2014 and 2017. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Chico Carter Jr. with 22 points. Carter Jr. is headed to Murray State next fall was joined in double digits by Joshua Beadle (2021) with 15 points and Bryce Earle (2019) came in at 9 points.
The Skyhawks (17-7) were led in scoring by Jordan Burch (2020) with 14 points while Trent Green added 9 points.
