Cohen Gaskins – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Gaskins scored 29 points in his last game of the season vs Porter Gaud. Gaskins has really came along this season for the Panthers and looks to be the leader for Head coach Pat Eidson over the next few years. Gaskins connected from downtown or driving the ball to the rack. Gaskins doesn’t lack any confidence on the floor and plays with some swag.
Bryson Bishop – Spartanburg Christian Academy (pictured on front)
Bishop came out on fire for the Warriors on his way to 27 points while connecting on 7 three pointers. Bishop really liked to feed the post and utilized the bounce pass to perfection. Bishop is a very heady player and makes very good decisions from the back court position.
Jaylen Reeves – Beaufort Academy
Reeves is jet quick with the ball in his hands. Reeves 5’7 point guard really likes to attack the gaps and penetrates-kicks at will. Reeves a pass first point guard keeps a ball on a string. Reeves was tentative at times to shoot the ball on the perimeter.
Lawton Fulford – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
Fulford has already eclipsed over 1,000 career points after playing on varsity since the 6th grade. Fulford will look to take the torch over from Mike Green for the Saints next season. Fulford started off his career at North Myrtle Beach Christian before coming over to the Saints. Fulford has the ability to shoot the ball on the perimeter but also handled the more ball more this season than in years past.
Sam Wheeler – Shannon Forest Christian (Greenville)
Wheeler has really made good strides for the Crusaders. Wheeler 6’5 scored 29 points in a 2nd round game vs Hilton Head Christian. Wheeler has filled out some since last season and really showed a great touch finishing around the basket.
Joshua Beadle – Cardinal Newman
Beadle is extremely smooth with the rock in his hands. Beadles plays well beyond his years on the floor since seeing action since the 8th grade season. Beadle a left-handed guard will be the leader now with graduation of Chico Carter Jr. this season.
