Jordan Burch – Hammond
Burch helped his Skyhawks to a 2nd place finish behind city rival Cardinal Newman. Burch is mismatch at times on the floor and a beast down low in the paint. Burch a Top 15 player in the USA on the gridiron excels at both sports for the Skyhawks. Burch a left-handed forward has the ability to bully defenders down low and even handles the ball as a guard.
Isaiah Caldwell – Heathwood Hall
Caldwell has to do a lot of the work for the Highlanders this season on the floor. Caldwell showed great versatility all season long if it was defending the post or bringing the ball up the floor. Caldwell will be back next season to lead the Highlanders
Nick Ford – Trinity-Byrnes (Darlington)
Ford scored most of his points around the basket. Ford has grown some the past year or and tends to show some really good glimpses when he figures it out. Ford has a knack to score the ball but must get better on the free throw line. ford played his first season for the Titans after playing the past 2 years at nearby South Florence HS.
Traveon Davis – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Davis has all the tools to really be a player but he needs to bring it every game. Davis can really stroke the ball from downtown and has great athleticism. Davis at times likes to take some plays off and then turn it back on when needed. Davis helped the Saints to a Class A State Championship and a (29-0) season.
Zyan Gilmore – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Gilmore is the leader of this Saints team on and off the floor. Gilmore a point guard brings the effort all game long with his play and really likes to have the ball in the clutch. Gilmore is a gym rat is every sense of the word. Gilmore and Davis will both be back next season for the Saints to defend the title.
Darius Boyd – Richard Winn Academy (Winnsboro) (pictured on front)
Boyd a left-handed point guard is the catalyst for the Eagles squad. Boyd averaged 18.4 ppg, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season. Boyd spent some time at Blythewood HS before coming back to Richard Winn Academy.
Dawson Coleman – Beaufort Academy
Coleman went over 1,000 points late in the regular season for the Eagles. Coleman 6’5 played inside-out today for the Eagles. Coleman has the ability to knockdown the 3-ball from the corner or post up.
Palmer Thompson – Spartanburg Christian Academy
Thompson 6’5 combo forward is a new name for Prep Hoops to keep a eye on for the future. Thompson moves well and has the ability to play inside-out on the floor. Thompson will be a nice piece to have back in the starting lineup for Warriors Head Coach Chris Arp next season.
Tyrone Calloway – Hilton Head Prep
Calloway a point guard got to the basket quite often for the Dolphins. Calloway would penetrate-kick when needed and helped the Dolphins capture a Class AA State Championship this season.
