Karter Thomas
Karter Thomas dropped 25 points, but it was not enoughAnother casual 20 plus point performance for Karter Thomas. Thomas was undoubtedly the best player on the court in last night’s game. The Junior guard could do whatever he wanted. Whether he was making deep threes, or getting to the rim, Karter Thomas was making plays all night for the Wildcats.
Kaden Clark
Kaden Clark had just four points at the intermission, but he got going in the second half. Clark scored 18 total points, 14 of which came in the second half. The Senior forward also hit the four free throws that eventually sealed the game for Appleton East. Kaden Clark did not have his best performance, but he was still able to will his team to victory.
Luke Haasl
In just his third game of the year, Luke Haasl made a big difference. Haasl scored six points and was very active on both sides of the court. The Wildcats have missed Haasl’s presence throughout this season. Haasl blocked some shots and had some very nice plays on offense.
Jed Leisner
Jed Leisner was one of the more impressive prospects in last night’s game. Leisner was extremely efficient and methodical on the block. On multiple occasions, Leisner was in the post making fantastic plays and scoring. While he stands at just 6’3″, Leisner has clearly perfected his craft when it comes to playing in the post. Jed scored 15 points and was a big reason why the Patriots were able to get the win.
Caleb Fuller
Caleb Fuller was incredible in the Wildcat’s loss. The Junior guard scored 16 points. Fuller was the unsung hero for O-West. He made shots and played solid defense. Despite battling with minor foul trouble, he was extremely impressive and made the most of his minutes.
Lucas Kotarek
Lucas Kotarek was able to keep East in this game during the first half. In the first 18 minutes, the Patriots did not play their best basketball, but Kotarek’s eight points in the first half was just enough to keep Appleton East within striking distance. Kotarek scored 10 total points, but his biggest contributions were made in the first half.
Jacquez Overstreet
Jacquez Overstreet was active, scoring 9 points. Overstreet is a very athletic guard who possess speed that lets him blow past his defenders. As only a sophomore, Overstreet has a lot of time to improve his game. Overstreet is already a talented player, but the future looks very bright for the combo guard.
