The 6-4 shooting guard from Cathedral Catholic has put up prolific numbers in his first two high school seasons. He eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier earlier this season, and scored a game-high 19 points in the Dons 47-46 win over Francis Parker in the D1 title game.
Notarainni was primarily a straight-line scorer a year ago, but has developed a reliable shot off the catch. He credits his development to hours of work in the gym during the offseason.
“I would credit my countless hours of reps in the gym with my trainer Vince Rogers, who has really helped me on and off the court,” Notarainni said.
Notarainni said he is working on improving his handle, and athleticism heading into the spring grassroots season.
Notarainni, who played with the Las Vegas Prospects last summer, is suiting up for Dream Vision this spring. He said he is looking forward to competing against top competition and expanding his recruitment. Offered by Rutgers as a freshman, Notarainni said he is open to any new interest.
“My offseason goals are to improve in all aspects of my game and become a better leader for our team,” Notarainni said. “I also want to have as much fun as I can playing and competing.”
