He hails from France, where he played for the strongest youth program in the country in CBC (Caen Basket Calvados). Two years ago, his team won the U18 Championship in France, an experience Paul says he is most proud of.
Paul has been playing basketball practically his entire life, starting when he was three years old.
Growing up he did participate and had some early success in Cross Country but his passion was always with basketball.
Paul describes himself as a “fast, point guard who likes to defend and get everyone involved in the offense.”
Paul is a very active defender who makes good use of his arms to impede vision and cut off passing lanes. He moves well laterally and is able to use his quickness to stay in front of other guards.
Paul says that his biggest attribute is his quickness and also his ability to finish as a point guard while he is working on improving his body and shooting ability.
Paul will continue to improve as he continues to improve his body as the athleticism in America has been one of the biggest changes from basketball back home in France.
In regards to what is next for Paul, he talks a lot about improving and progressing in order to make his family proud.
He does want to play basketball at the next level but be on a team that he can get a lot of playing time and feel confident that academically he is progressing as well.
