During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, Cozart evaluated his team’s performance while discussing a handful of other topics.
PH: How would you evaluate today’s team performance on a scale of 1-10?
DC: “I give it a 7. We fell short to them the first time, but we came back strong.”
PH: What’s your role for this team?
DC: “I was trying to get more assists, less turnovers today. We’re also working on our free throws.”
PH: How would you describe your game for those who haven’t seen you play?
DC: “I’m a playmaker type. I’m a guard who tries to get his team involved.”
PH: What’s an underrated skill of yours?
DC: “Steals.”
PH: What do you think you need to work on?
DC: “Ball handling and free throws.”
PH: What are the team goals?
DC: “To work on our free throws. We’re not very good at them right now.”
PH: What do you know about your next opponent?
DC: “I’ve never seen them (Maret) play. But we’re going to come out strong.”
PH: What’s going to need to happen in order for your team to be successful in this tournament?
DC: “Less turnovers.”
