The Greenforest junior already has one Division I offer in tow, and has several other schools interested. He says his inside-outside ability and defense are strengths.
“My strength is shooting the ball, I can shoot it real well for a 6’10 guy. I can defend and protect the rim, and I can guard multiple positions. Also, I can score in the post,” said Fussell.
“I need to work on my ball-handling and getting stronger, and getting some weight on me so at the next level I won’t get bullied.”
With Greenforest, which recently advanced to the Class-A Private Elite 8, Fussell is averaging 14 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots per game.
“The season has been going good and my role on the team has been to basically be who I am, to score the ball and coach just lets me be me,” said Fussell.
He’ll play with G-Force 17U on the adidas Gauntlet this year, and hopes he can add to his current single offer from College of Charleston. Temple, Murray State, Georgia are some schools that are showing interest right now.
“This summer, I’m looking to dominate and just to get better on and off the floor,” said Fussell. “I’m looking to get some more offers this summer and just get my name out there.”
