Before the Tapps 6A Region North playoffs began, not many people predicted Prestonwood to be one of the two teams headed to state. Prestonwood received huge contributions from multiple players on their team. The Prestonwood Lions defeated two top 10 teams in 6A, Nolan Catholic and Bishop Lynch.
Prestonwood Starting 5 Player Recaps:
Nathan Galloway / PG / 5’10” / PCA / 2020
Galloway is a fierce competitor that plays the game with supreme confidence. He is a solid ball handler and capable three point shooter.
Cinque Stephens / PG / 6’2” / PCA / 2019
Stephens was very impressive this past weekend. He is tough to guard one and one because of his speed and ability to blow by his man from the top of the key with the ball in his hands.
Jacob Millhouse / SG / 6’2 / PCA / 2021
Millhouse is a long armed two guard that plays the game under control. He has a good looking stroke and can put the ball on the floor if the defender gives him a lane to attack. Millhouse is a young shooter with a ton of upside.
Keller Boothby / 6’6” / SF / PCA / 2019
Boothby is a great catch and shoot threat that doesn’t need much room to get his shot off. He moves well without the ball in his hands, and his teammates know how to get him the ball when he’s open.
Brock Hollingsworth / 6’3” / PF / PCA / 2019
Hollingsworth is not the tallest player but his heart and effort allows him to be an effective post player. Hollingsworth finished well around the basket and had multiple rebounds throughout the weekend.
