Prep Hoop All City League-North Team:
N’Keeley Elmore (5’9 / G 2019 / Northland): Under 6-foot tall Keeley Elmore is one of the best guards in Central Ohio. A guard that is going to go right at you, draw contact and get a bucket. Elmore proved all year he can score from about anywhere, especially in the paint. The quick guard has that dog mentality you want in a player. Leading the City League-North in scoring at just over 20 points a night. A career-high 39 points was the highlight for Elmore this season, in a win over East. The best player in the North division, also, a well deserved pick.
Na’Elle Simmons (6’7 / F 2019 / Beechcroft): At 6’7 Simmons is a difference maker for Beechcroft on both ends of the floor. A long lengthy build, gives him the ability to deter shots and make it tough for opposing teams. A matchup issue for any team they faced, the Senior was able to do just about what he wanted. Whether it’s playing above the rim or a soft touch inside, Simmons is reliable in the scoring column. Averaging just over 16 points a night, Na’Elle led the way for Beechcroft. Racking up 15 double-digit scoring games, the double-double machine was nothing but consistent. One of multiple accolades the Beechcroft Senior will receive this season.
Myles Martinez (6’7 / PF 2019 / Centennial): Martinez is a multi-sport athlete, as he has a stud baseball player in the spring, committed to Ohio Dominican to play on the diamond. The lanky Senior is also a stud on the hardwood. Putting up just under 15 points a game, Martinez was dynamite for the Stars. A big man with a solid handle to the game, is solid through the lane and inside, as he showed all year. Scoring under double-digits just twice, the 6’7 forward produced all year for Centennial, at a high-level. An easy pick for All-City League North!
Armon Mackey ( G 2019 / Columbus East): Armon Mackey was the leader of an Easy team, that had multiple Senior contributors. The signature game for the Senior this year was a 26 point outing against Bexley, in which they fell just short. Mackey can score it in multiple ways, including getting through the lane in traffic. Averaging just over 14 points a contest, the East Tiger was a solid contributor in the conference. Scoring in double-figures in 14 games, Mackey was able to get the job done on a nightly basis for East.
Yayi Conde (6’6 / F 2019 / International): International, is at a lower playing level then most schools in the area. But, Yayi Conde is to exception. A solid player from International, that gets it done inside. A double-double style of player, that averages almost 17 points per game. Despite the loss, the Senior poured in 34 points against Mifflin earlier in the season, an impressive performance. Conde has scored in double-figures all but two games. An under the radar player that should be recognized.
