Such as Delaware Hayes and Thomas Worthington. However, take a look at the standout players from the Cardinal division.
Prep Hoop All-OCC Cardinal Team:
Matt Allocco (6’4 / CG 2020 / Hilliard Bradley): Matt Allocco is simply the best player in the Cardinal division. Holding numerous D1 offers already, Allocco is a big time hooper. A player that can excel on or off ball, has a great feel for the game and operating the offense. Allocco averaged just under 16 PPG, as well as racking up the assists. A quick first step, maybe the best player through the lane around. The Junior is only going to keep getting better, which is scary for opposing teams. Leading Bradley to just a one-loss season, Allocco is a certified gamer on the hardwood.
Zach Wilson (6’1 / G 2019 / Worthington Kilbourne): Not the best of seasons this your for Worthington Kilbourne, but they still possessed the conference leading scorer. Zach Wilson led the OCC-Cardinal division putting up just under 17 PPG, at 16.9. Wilson went for a big 27 point game against DeSales, as well as a solid win. The Senior went over the 20 point marker on six different occasions. A well deserved selection!
Jalen Sullinger (5’9 / G 2021 / Thomas Worthington): Jalen Sullinger kind of bursted on to the scene this season, as one of the best younger players. Undersized, for now, Sullinger is still tough through the lane. Also, the Sophomore can really fill it up, shooting with the best of them. Netting over 15 PPG, Jalen was able to lead the Cardinals in scoring. A big game against Delaware Hayes, 35 points worth, was a staple of a game for the youngster. Already holding an offer from Kent State, look for the Thomas Worthington guard to keep growing and maturing.
Terin Kinsway (6’5 / WF 2019 / Delaware Hayes): Terin Kinsway is one of the most physically imposing players you will see on the hardwood. Built like a defensive end on the gridiron, Kinsway has some game to him. The two-way Senior was good for 15.3 points per game this season, for the Pacers. A player that can get it done from inside or out. The leader of a a Hayes team that finished with just six losses. But, a solid pick for a deserving player.
Ben Wight (6’9 / C 2019 / Thomas Worthington): The Ohio University signee had a very productive Senior campaign on his last go around. The leader of a Thomas Worthington team with multiple younger players, did his job and some. The double-double machine is a physical presence in the paint. But, at 6’9 is a matchup problem for just about any team. Racking up 14.5 points per game, Wight was efficient inside. Also, scoring in double-figures in all but one game, Wight had things his way. An easier pick for all-conference and future MAC big man.
