It seemed as if there was a lid on the rim at the beginning of the game. Neither team could hit a backside of a barn. So the game then went inside and the same results were happening. The first 12 shots that were taken combined was a miss. Creek was able to get on the board first and the game then began to take off. The first half was a dog fight as to see who could actually hit shots. The second half however is a different story. Lamar came out and hit two deep balls in a row, one of them was from the volleyball line. Once they took the lead they never looked back. There scrappiness stifled the Cougars and held them at them bucket-less until 2 minutes were left in the 3rd quarter. The Texans continued there onslaught in the final quarter until the buzzer sounded.

Sir Issac Herron 6’7 SF / Lamar / 2021 PHTX50
This lengthy wing played with a great motor the entire game. Gets up and down the floor well. Altered shots and had a pair of blocks. Stretched out the opposing team with good play from the perimeter. Plays above the rim. He gets on the boards also by boxing out from time to time. His perimeter shot has come a long way from earlier in the season when I saw him. Finished the game with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Yves Bankita 6’9 C / Lamar / 2019
Yves plays solid defensively. He keeps his hands straight up when contesting opponents. Has good footwork and post control. Utilizes a jump hook from the post which is rare. Runs the floor really good. Plays with a nice motor and gets after 50/50 balls. Finished with 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks. His main language is French. Would be a great addition to a D3/NAIA program.
Dennis Sharp 6’1 PG / Lamar / 2019
Solid point who controls the flow of the offense. Plays with a great motor. Has good offensive and defensive skill set. Even moves well without the ball. He has a strong handle on the ball. Reads screens really well. Has high offensive IQ. Gets his teammates involved in the game. Can score the ball at all levels. Even knocked down two volleyball line trey balls. This was my fourth time seeing him play. He has been consistent every single game. Finished with 23 points, 6 assist, and 2 steals. He shot 4/5-3FG shooting 80% from behind the arc. He would be a great fit at a D2/D3/NAIA/JuCo school.
Nate Martin 6’7 PF / Cypress Creek / 2020 PHTX75
Played solid in the post. When driving from the short corner he was most successful. Has decent footwork on the low block. Has good head fakes in the paint on a jump stop. Rebounds the ball very well. Uses his size on the court well. Has great strength also. He has good timing defensively which leads to second guessing, turnovers, and altered shots from his opponents. Finished with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Ed Trahan 6’4 F / Cypress Creek / 2020

Damian “DJ” Richards 6’4 SG / Cypress Creek / 2021 PHTX50
DJ is a long guard with good ball speed. He also has a quick release on his jump shot. Ran the point in the game also. His IQ will improve as a floor general over time. He can create his own shot. Has a good step back package in which he scores at a high rate from. Finished the game with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assist. Shot 3/8-3FG for the game.
