Player of the Week: Week 12
Daviess County Senior Dakota Walden was voted player of the week last week. Let’s look at this week’s nominees!
- Floyd Central Senior Brady Conn – Conn led Floyd Central to a 1-2 week behind 16 points and 7 rebounds against Pikeville. Conn had 15 points and 5 rebounds in a loss to Johnson Central then finished the week with 29 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Belfry.
- Logan County Senior Kelby Epley – No stats were reported for their win over Ohio County but Epley had 31 points on 5-8 from 3 in a win over Cumberland County. He added 6 assists and 5 rebounds in the Senior Night win too.
- Greenwood Junior Ben Carroll – The 6’6 forward had a big week in 2 wins for the Gators. In an overtime win over Monroe County, he scored 33 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. In the win over Edmonson County Ben scored 24 points and had 7 rebounds.
- Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior Jared Gadd – The Dunbar wing scored 26 and added 5 rebounds in the loss to West Jessamine then followed that with a team high 24 points in the massive upset win over Scott County on Friday.
- Frankfort Senior Juanya Frank – The point guard helped Frankfort to 3 wins last week with 10 points and 7 rebounds in a win over Bryan Station, 16 points and 6 rebounds against Madison Southern and 25 points and 3 rebounds against Thomas Nelson.
- Lexington Catholic Sophomore Ben Johnson – The 6’3 guard had 31 points and 7 rebounds in an overtime loss to Lincoln County then 30 points in a win over Wayne County to close the regular season.
