Cedar Park came into the game undefeated in UIL District 17-6A, while Connally sat in second place with a 10-2 record. With the Timberwolves already clinching the district title, the only goal they had left in mind was maintaining their undefeated record. Something that has not been done in school history.
The game was a low-scoring barnburner with the largest lead being nine points (achieved by both squads). However, Connelly opened their nine-point gap in the third quarter and barely held on to their lead. The Cougars closed out the game and pulled off the one-point upset within the final seconds. Because of the loss, Cedar Park did not make history, but still are the district champions. This game was all about the unsigned seniors and we highlight the ones who performed the best in their last regular season game of their high school careers:

Kylin Robinson / 5’11″/ PG / Pflugerville Connally / 2019
Robinson is one of the best remaining unsigned senior point guards in the state. He was locked in on both ends of the floor throughout the game. When Cedar Park went into a zone defense, the senior guard made them pay by drilling in four threes including some from far out. He was heavily composed during the final minutes and made timely free throws going 7-8 from the charity stripe to edge out the district champions. Robinson led the game in scoring with 21 points.
Tyrone Perry / 6’2″/ SG / Pflugerville Connally / 2019
Perry had an abysmal night from the field, but heavily impacted the game on the defensive end. He did a great job of keeping his man in front of him and displayed quick hands when playing helpside. He also hit some timely free throws for Connally to maintain their fourth quarter lead over Cedar Park.
Eddie Burgess / 6’8″/ C / Pflugerville Connally / 2019
The matchup between Eddie Burgess and Josh Baker (will be mentioned later) was fun to watch. Burgess has long arms to go along with a solid but somewhat chiseled frame. He still is raw in how he lacks touch inside and is awkward in his movements on the basketball court. Once he progresses in his feel for the game and continues to learn how to process things, he can be a productive rim runner, rebounder, and paint protector at the next level.
Josh Baker / 6’7″/ PF / Cedar Park / 2019
Baker showed decent inside and out ability. He finished his opportunities inside through the harm and even stepped outside to knock down a jumper from downtown. The unsigned forward led Cedar Park with 14 points in the loss.
Ethan Kieke / 6’4″/ SF / Cedar Park / 2019
Kieke is an hidden gym unsigned senior prospect who immediately opened my eyes after finishing a backside lob with a nice two slam. He has good size at 6-foot-4 to go along with nice length and athleticism. The swingman also has displayed some shooting touch from the perimeter. He scored 12 points in the district contest.
