Taj Manning, 6’6, G/F, 2022, Grandview
An impressive forward with skill to post up and score at the top of the paint. He is fast and has good size, length and athleticism. He is good at getting position on both ends and is great at rebounding and finishing plays around the rim. A talented forward who can play inside well and handle things on the wing.
Jaylon McDaniel, 6’7, F, 2021, Blue Springs South
A player with size, skill and toughness. McDaniel is strong forward with great size, length and power. He has a good eye for the ball and can secure rebounds on both ends and provide plays above and around the rim. He adds shot blocking, low post footwork and slashing ability. A player who can do a lot of damage down low.
Keyren Spiller, 6’3, F, 2021, Center
Spiller has a well-rounded game for Center and a do-everything work ethic to boot. He has nice physical presence and he doesn’t back down from a challenge. He scores well on the block and he can connect outside the paint as well. He also fights for rebounds on both ends as he keeps opponents out of position when the ball goes up.
Max Whisner, 6’6, F, 2022, Lee’s Summit
One of the state’s most talented young forwards, Whisner is an athletic big man who runs the floor exceptionally well, can play above the rim a little and is capable of grabbing rebounds, scoring garbage buckets in the paint and score over smaller players. He shows the ability to block shots, defend in the post and move his feet on the perimeter.
Eli Wingert, 6’6, F, 2021, Blue Springs
A shot blocker with good length. Wingert is a tall forward with a knack for rebounding under the basket. He’s a slippery player to defend when he has the ball, and can weave his way inside and score quickly. Also a good 3-point shooter. He has a high release making it difficult for defenders to get a hand on it. With his size, length and outside shooting ability, Wingert could develop into a stretch 4 or wing prospect in the future.
