Javaunte Hawkins, 5’11, G, 2019, LSN
A pure scorer who can get buckets any way he needs them. He has great range from deep and it doesn’t miss often. He is also quick and skilled enough to go inside and score off floaters and wrap-arounds in the paint. He is a patient player, but he creates openings and follows up with slick passes to his teammates.
Mikel Henderson, 6’1, PG, 2019, LSN
A hard-nosed defender who picks off passes, forces turnovers and finishes on the opposite end because of it. He has nice handles and can shake off opponents. He is also good off the ball and can move to get his shot and score quickly after the catch. A quality guard who makes great decisions with the ball
Glen McClintock, 6’1, G, 2019, Rockhurst
A great outside shooter for Rockhurst who gets on the board no matter what. He is a strong ball handler and he can create his own shots. He has a nice mid-range game and is comfortable in almost any situation he finds himself in on offense. Also an active defender who stays in front of his opponents and forces them to use their weak hand.
Lamel Robinson, 5’11, G, 2019, Park Hill South
The Nebraska-Omaha commit has put together a big season for the Panthers, leading PHS to a No. 1 seed in the Missouri Claws 5 District 16 tournament. A strong, athletic guard, Robinson can score at all three levels as he can pull up from distance, get to the basket and finish or drop in a teardrop floater in the lane. He can play either guard spot, leading a team at the point, or playing off the ball.
Deandre Sorrells, 5’10, G, 2019, Grandview
One of the state’s premier shooters, Sorrells is averaging 15 points and 3.7 assists per game. He is coming off a strong offseason running with MoKan Elite’s 17U squad on the EYBL and had a strong showing, knocking down outside shots. With Grandview, Sorrells has taken on a PG role, handling the duties of running a team and helping his squad put together a big season. He has knocked down more than 50 3-pointers and is shooting 45 percent from behind the arc this season.
