We had heard some buzz, but this was our first eval of the rangy 6’4” wing. Very projectable frame to add strength and continue growing. Clean looking shot from deep and that is his strength at this stage. Shoots it with a ton of confidence. Potential down the road defensively.
Dent discussed his season with Southeast.
“It is going good. Me being with this group of seniors is very good. Learning from them. I am thankful to be on this team with wonderful coaches and players.”
What are his strengths as a player at this stage?
“I think I can shoot the three pretty well. If I need to handle the ball I can do that. I got the mid-range, but I have to work on it a little more.”
Being able to learn from vets like Terrion Murdix, Michael Tyler, and Anthony Fairlee has been valuable for him.
“It is very good. They talk to me a lot. Last year my freshman year I didn’t play a lot, but they talked to me.”
Nothing going on with recruiting as of yet. Definitely a name to track though as we head into the spring.
