Hard Work Region Preview: Minnesota Matrix
We may be on the tail end of high school basketball season but it’s not too early to look ahead to what’s coming up on the AAU circuit. Over the next few months we will be taking a look at the teams that will be participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region and here’s a look at the Minnesota Matrix.
The Matrix will compete in the 17U age division of the Hard Work Region and will be at Hard Work Live, Battle at the Lakes and the Hard Work Region Finals.
I recently caught up with Matrix Director Brett Stolzenberg to learn more about the program and what to expect from the Matrix this season:
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
2017
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
Exposure and scholarships while being competitive and continuing to improve as a team and individually.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
Most of our roster is currently garnering D1, D2 and D3 interest. Our top 7 rank in the top 60 of the latest Prep Hoops 2020 rankings in Minnesota.
Dylan DeChampeau
Tate Machacek
Mason Miller
Jacob Jennissen
Carter Anderson
Gavin Vosika
Will Cordes
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
Prep Hoops has well run tournaments and excellent coverage. Prep Hoops is already familiar with most of our roster and we felt confident that the Prep Hoops Circuit would be the best platform in continuing to gain exposure.
