Hard Work Region Preview: Minnesota Crown
We may be in the middle of high school basketball season but it’s not too early to look ahead to what’s coming up on the AAU circuit. Over the next few months we will be taking a look at the teams that will be participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region and here’s a look at Minnesota Crown
The Crown will compete in the 15U age division of the Hard Work Region and will be at Battle at the Lakes, Summer Challenge and the Hard Work Region Finals.
I recently caught up with Minnesota Crown Director Shannon Bodke to learn more about the program and what to expect from Minnesota Crown this season:
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
Minnesota Crown was established in 2018. We started our program, because we want to provide an environment for our student-athletes to fully develop their academic and athletic potential, through practicing good habits, physical training and character building that comes through competition.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
Our goal is to expand our program and add more teams. We also want to see each of our players be successful in school, as well as on the court.
What is your program’s mission each year?
The Minnesota Crown program will promote academic excellence, integrity, playing within a team and character building through competition.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
We are optimistic that all of our players from last season will return. We think all of players are outstanding young men and athletes.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
We have enjoyed participating in Prep Hoop tournaments in the past. The competition is always great and the tournaments are well run.
