Although it is still in the middle of the high school basketball season in Illinois we are already looking ahead to the travel team circuit this spring. We will be previewing the teams participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region over the next few months.
Below is our chat with Brendan Kolton of Hoops4Health previewing this upcoming season!
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
I saw a need for more personal attention, training that focused on the fundamentals, and emphasizing the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
Goal for our program is to build a foundation for our players to excel on the high school level and help them achieve their dream of playing college basketball. That means growing their game as well as helping them get recruited.
What is your program’s mission each year?
That players come out being better people, better players, and with a bigger focus on living a healthy lifestyle.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
Keep an eye on Oliver Bishop (2023), Ari Schenker (2023), Will Colvin (2023), Johnathan Pappas (2023), Karlo Colak (New Trier 2022), Sean Paige (St. Joes 2022) Karson Cotton (Joliet West 2022), Donovan Brown (Plainfield E HS, 2022), Alex Frieburger, (North Shore Country Day HS, 2021), Logan Cheeks (Evanston HS 2020).
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
Prep Hoops is second to none when it comes to getting kids exposure. The circuit will be a great platform for really good competition and getting the players in front of college coaches.
