Hard Work Region Preview: Chicago Hoops
Although it is still in the middle of the high school basketball season in Illinois we are already looking ahead to the travel team circuit this spring. We will be previewing the teams participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region over the next few months.
Below is our chat with Chicago Hoops travel team program previewing this upcoming season!
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
Chicago Hoops started the spring of 2016. We started the program to keep our youth off the streets. Give them a chance to display their talents, develop their game, and experience something that will never be forgotten.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
The goal of our program is to develop our youth into high character individuals and allowing them to compete on a high level throughout the nation for an affordable price.
What is your program’s mission each year?
Our mission is to provide athletics for all. No matter skill level, financial status, or background. We want you to experience what we offer.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
Our 16U team is probably one of the best teams in the state. With all of our main guys returning: St. Rita Guard Christian Henry, DePaul Prep Guard Tyler Johnson, and Lincoln Park Guard Ismail Habib. They look to have the most dominant back court. With add on’s like Brother Rice forward Luke Moustakas and Austin HS Forward Quavo, they will give Hoops that inside presence.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
We chose Prep Hoops Circuit because we are sure they can provide a service of exposure for our players. It’s a brand new circuit so it’s a lot of opportunity here. We trust the guys who run it and everyone is pretty excited to see how it turns out.
