Grind Region Preview: All Arkansas Red
We may be in the middle of high school basketball season but it’s not too early to look ahead to what’s coming up on the AAU circuit. Over the next few months we will be taking a look at the teams that will be participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Grind Region and here’s a look at All Arkansas Red.
All Arkansas Red will have teams in the 17U, 16U, 15U, and 14U divisions of the Grind Region and will be at the #GrindSzn Kickoff, Midwest Grind Session, and Grind Region Finals.
Here’s a transcript of a conversation we had with coach Carlos Miller.
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
I started the program in 2009 to help athletes achieve their goals of playing college basketball at the college level. Also, there were only two major programs in the state of Arkansas and those teams couldn’t provide an opportunity to more student athletes.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
The goal every year for this organization to help our student athlete obtain a basketball scholarship which we have done at 100% the last three years.
What is your program’s mission each year?
To put our athletes in environment to be successful, athletically and academically and to obtain college scholarships.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
2020- Carlos Miller JR. – 6’3 PG, Xavier Robinson – 6’2 Shooting guard, Mason Matthews – 6’8 Wing, Kavan Wooten – 6’6 Wing, Dillion Session – 6’5 Wing, Xavier Turner – 6’6 Forward, Jacore Williams 6’2 Shooting guard, Stefphan Tab – 6’5 Wing, Reggie Mayo JR – 5’11 Point Guard
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
The tournaments are well run, and the staff are very active on social media to get the players name out there. I can’t say enough good things about Prep Hoop Circuit.
