The Knights, the fifth seed in Division 1, knocked off 12th-seeded El Camino Real Tuesday night. They face a stout challenge in fourth-seeded Santa Margarita, which knocked off Mission Bay in the playoff opener, at 6 p.m.
The Eagles feature three Division 1 signees, including 6-7 wing Jake Kyman (UCLA), 6-9 wing Max Agbonkpolo (USC) and 6-11 center Shengzhe Li (BYU).
Foothills counters with 6-5 Montana signee Derrick Carter-Hollinger, and guards Yassine Gharram and Jaren Nafarrete.
Other divisions
In Division 2, Santa Fe Christian and Cathedral Catholic are still alive. The seventh-seeded Eagles, which handily defeated Highland Tuesday, face Riverside Notre Dame at 7 p.m. The Dons, the 12 seed, registered the biggest upset of the D2 bracket, knocking off fifth-seeded La Canada. They travel to Valencia to face the fourth-seeded Vikings.
La Jolla Country Day’s path to the Division 3 regional finals received a boost when top-seeded Montgomery fell to the 16 seed, LA University, in OT on Tuesday. The Torreys, as a result, will host the Wildcats tonight, with the winner facing the winner of Fairmont Prep and Pacifica Christian on Saturday.
In Division 4, San Diego High is the last local team standing. They travel to Victorville to face third-seeded Silverado tonight. The sixth-seeded Cavers defeated San Luis Obispo to advance.
And in Division 5, Southwest San Diego, the D4 champs, are still alive. The two seed in the bracket hosts 10th seeded Hueneme tonight.
