2019 6’6 Asa Shannon | Episcopal
Shannon played a huge role in knocking off Bullis last night as he finished with 17 points. He is a guy that can finish above the rim in transition, drive on defenders to the basket and showed that he can hit a pull up mid range jump shot as he hit a few of those when his team needed a bucket. He brings good defensive capabilities too with his athleticism. He had two blocks right after the opening tip and was the cause a few steals too.
2021 6’0 Darius Johnson | Episcopal
The younger brother of George Mason commit, Xavier Johnson, is going to be a fun kid to watch over the next few years. He is a very quick guard that excels in transition. He can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court but can also set up his teammates when he is not scoring. He had a tremendous no look bounce pass last night that led to a slam for one of his teammates. Defensively he can get after it too as he had two steals late in the game to to help secure the win for Episcopal.
2020 6’6 Tymu Chenery | Episcopal
One of the most physical players around the rim was Tymu Chenery. He has great leaping ability that allows him to soar up to grab rebounds on both sides of the ball and also alter shots. He finished at the rim with his size and overall was just a complete beast down low. However, he also showed that he can hit a jumper from far out and has the ability to hit an open three as his first bucket of the game was a wide open three.
2019 6’3 Nendah Tarke | Bullis
Tarke did everything he could last night to try and secure the victory for Bullis. Finishing with 25 points, he was scoring in whatever way he could while attacking the rim and finishing over defenders that were bigger than him. The senior has a really good motor and played with the type of energy Bullis needed when they found themselves down big. To go along with his 25 points, he hauled in 11 rebounds for Bullis.
2021 Erik Reynold | Bullis
Another young 2021 player that is going to be fun to watch over the years is Erik Reynolds. Currently slotted 13th in our 2021 Maryland/DC Rankings, the sophomore finished with 14 points last night. He is a guy that can score at all three levels and definitely has the chance to become a big time player in the DMV during his last two years of high school.
