BRODY KARTON | 6’4 SF | WAKEFIELD ‘19
Karton used his big body to effectively deny Fitch in the late stages of the first half and throughout a majority of the second half. He also made smart plays with the ball offensively, and was adept at helping penetrate the opponents zone. Karton was aggressive in seeking contact and earned several free throw attempts.
ALEX FITCH | 6’4 SF | ROCK RIDGE ‘19
Fitch took advantage of the room he was given in the early part of the game. He got seven three-point attempts up in the first half and hit four. Fitch showcased a smooth release from the catch and deep range. Defensively, he was active in the zone and showed a nose for the ball. Fitch recorded several deflections and had 3 steals. He did struggle to create separation off the dribble against bigger defenders, and was visibly frustrated at times throughout the game as a result of the outcome of certain plays. Fitch should try not to get too high or too low in any circumstance.
GREG SPURLOCK | 6’3 G | ROCK RIDGE ‘21
Spurlock is a big guard with great court vision and a decent handle. He is very good at using his big frame to shield the ball. Spurlock had several drive and kicks in the half court, but was also kept his head up in search of easy transition opportunities. He did struggle a bit with pressure, but did demonstrate the ability to knock down perimeter jumpers from spot up situations.
CHRIS WARNER | 6’4 F | WAKFIELD ‘19
Warner controlled this game with his ability to see the court and find open teammates. His passing was outstanding throughout the course of this one. Warner also had the confidence to take and make open shots from the perimeter.
JARED WATKINS | 6’2 G | WAKFIELD ‘19
Watkins is a versatile contributor on the defensive end with his length and quickness. He is an adept shot blocker but also causes a ton of problems in the back court with his quick hands. Watkins was good at getting into the paint and finishing in traffic, but struggled to make any type of perimeter jumpers.
