Here are 10 examples of some exciting juniors for fans watch:
Lorne Bowman (6’2″, PG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Bowman is one of the top prospects in Michigan regardless of class. He’s smooth with the ball, using great vision and handles to control the game. Bowman recently committed to Wisconsin.
Jon Brantley (6’2″, PG, Brother Rice)
Brantley haa been shooting up the prospect rankings. He’s an explosive lead guard who can attack the basket and get buckets. Brantley is a facilitator who spreads the floor and creates for his teammates.
Shawn Coad (6’1″, SG, Grand Rapids Angels)
Coad is an athlete that seems to just about jump out of his shoes. He gets off the floor quick and rises fast on the jump. Coad is one of the most exciting dunkers in Michigan.
Ryan Corner (6’10, PF, Allendale)
Corner is a post player full of potential. He got thicker and stronger this season, but maintained his smooth movement. Corner gets up and down the floor and is always a threat for a put back bucket.
Reece Hazelton (6’6″, G/F, Glen Lake)
If you like watching well rounded and versatile players, here’s your guy. He dominates smaller defenders in the post and beats big men on the perimeter. Hazelton is a rising star.
Curtis Jackson (5’11”, PG, Harper Woods)
Jackson is a fast footed spark plug. He uses his quick first step to blow by defenders. He is a scoring point guard who thrives in an up tempo game. Jackson is gaining momentum as a prospect.
Carlos Johnson (6’7″, SF, Benton Harbor)
Johnson is an old school grinder with new age skills. He’s an elite rebounder and scorer, and can get buckets from anywhere on the floor. Johnson is a high major Division 1 recruit.
Noah Pruitt (5’9″, PG, Okemos)
Pruitt is a fleet footed lead guard. He sets the tone for the Okemos squad and controls the tempo of the game. Pruitt can score and dish with equal efficiency.
Jimmy Scholler (6’4″, SG, Forest Hills Central)
Scholler is having a huge junior season. He’s earned the right to be considered one of the best 3 point shooters in Michigan. Scholler is rising up the prospect lists.
Jalen Terry (6’1″, PG, Flint Beecher)
Terry is one of the most electric lead guards in the midwest. He uses quickness, body control, and handles to attack the basket. Terry has the athleticism and the leaping ability to play and finish above the rim.
