Division lll All-State Nominees:
Dallas Patrick (6’1 / G 2019 / Wellington): The Wellington Guard has got it done big time this year. Dallas Patrick is dropping 24.7 points a game. Good for top five in Central Ohio, regardless of division. The high scoring Patrick has just two games under 20 points, a highly reliable player for Wellington. Leading Wellington to a 10-5 record, after a 1-3 start, has a lot to do with the Senior. One of Central Ohio’s top scorers, will definitely find himself All-State.
CJ Anthony (6’1 / G 2020 / Harvest Prep): CJ Anthony is one of the toughest guards around, and is a walking bucket at any means necessary. Putting up close to 25 PPG, Anthony is also one of the top scorers in the Central district. With four 30+ point games this season, you have to expect a great outing nightly from the Junior. Harvest Prep is sitting at 15-2, and a real threat in D3 hoops this year. CJ Anthony has a ton to do with that, as he’s the heart and soul of that team. A no-brainer selection for an All-State team.
Ben Casey (6’3 / WG 2019 / West Jefferson): Leading West Jefferson to a 15-5 solid record, Ben Casey has been excellent this year. Netting 19.2 PPG, he has been able to light opposing teams up on a game to game basis. A game high this season of 34 points against Mechanicsburg has been the highlight of his Senior season. A scorer whom, like many, gets it done from every where. A consistent player, who deserves an All-State nod.
DJ Moore (6’3 / G 2022 / Worthington Christian): The freshman phenom burst on to the scene with a 25 point game against Fredericktown at the beginning of the year, and hasn’t looked back. Moore is averaging almost 19 PPG for the Warriors. Including four games of 25 or more points, which you don’t see from a newcomer often. An athletic guard who can really shoot it, and score in a hull of ways. The best player on a Worthington Christian team that is competing for the top in the MSL-Ohio still. One of the best Freshman around, and a player to continue to watch. The Freshman Warrior deserves a mention in All-State.
Brian Collier (6’0 / G 2020 / Grandview Heights): The lead guard for Grandview Heights has been able to take his game to another level this winter. Putting up over 18 PPG, he has really been the production article for this Heights team. Also, should be noted that Collier did a lot for his team when fellow teammate Luke Lachey was out with an illness for weeks. The Junior has put up seven games of 20 or more points, an available high point man any night. Also, a guy that has added more to his offense this year, then just a shooter. Turning into a pretty tough guard for Grandview. Collier deserves recognition by the state for sure.
