Central Ohio All-State Nominees:
Ben Roderick (6’5 / WF 2019 / Olentangy Liberty): Coming off an ACL injury, people didn’t know how Roderick would bounce back. Turns out, he came back better than before. Still hopeful of getting a higher D1 offer, Roderick has done WORK this year. Averaging a superb 27.5 PPG, the Senior can fill it up any night. Roderick poured in 51 points over the holiday break down in Florida, as well. Not just a scorer, Roderick can create for his teammates and a solid defensive player. The best player in Central Ohio will definitely end up on First Team All-Ohio.
Von Cameron-Davis (6’5 / WF 2020 / Walnut Ridge): Von Cameron-Davis started the season on a hot streak, putting up over 30 PPG for about the first month. The big man now leads Central Ohio at 27.7 PPG, a matchup problem for any team Walnut Ridge comes in to play. One of the best players in the 2020 class in Ohio, is a workhorse inside that won’t be denied. Also, a big bodied rebounder, Davis is a double-double threat any night. Leading Walnut Ridge to a solid record, you should also see the stud forward get a First-Team nod.
Jack Sawyer (6’5 / WF 2021 / Pickerington North): Over the next couple years, this is a player that you’re going to see receive big time accolades in the fall and winter. The Ohio State football commit, is also one of the best players on the hardwood in Ohio. The big time athlete is putting up close to 22 PPG, and a big part of a successful Pickerington North squad. A nightly matchup issue for opposing teams, Sawyer can go off for 30 & 10 any given night. A mid-range game that stacks up against the best of the best. The top sophomore will be an All-State player.
Javohn Garcia (6’3 / G 2019 / Pickerington Central): Javohn Garcia has really put on a show this year for the 17-1 Pick Central team. A future D1 player, is currently one of Ohio’s best available. The scoring guard is responsible for 19.7 PPG. A tough guard, who can do a bit of everything for the loaded Tigers. A high level scorer who gets it done from everywhere. Garcia should get an All-State mention this year.

One of the areas leading scorers at 25.3 PPG, Myers is going to put on a show every night. Only scoring under 20 points in two games, the Senior is the definition of consistent. Playing for a solid Logan team, who has an upset win where they ran over Pickerington North. The stud scorer will once again find himself an All-State caliber player.
Dominiq Penn (6’1 / G 2020 / Dublin Coffman): Dom Penn has once again showed out this winter. The leader of the Dublin Coffman Rocks team, is an elite scoring guard. A player that can get it done at all levels, is netting over 20 PPG. The future D1 product has scoring outputs of 38 and 36 points this year, against solid competition. Also, creates for his team in his own right. At a high level, Penn finds his teammates efficient shots. Still undefeated is Dublin Coffman, and Dominiq Penn is a big reason why.
Sean Marks (5’10 / G 2019 / Olentangy): The Ohio Dominican commit put himself in Olentangy history this year, by becoming the programs all-time leading scorer. At 5’10 Marks doesn’t shy away from completion, one of the best at creating space in Central Ohio. Putting up a smooth 20.2 PPG, Marks is one of the best pound-for-pound scorers in Central Ohio. The highlight of his Senior season was a 36 point outing against Olentangy Liberty. After an honorable mention last year, Sean Marks should crack an All-State team this year.
