Turner Suchy 2019 Deer Creek guard
Turner Suchy is always a high point for the Antlers and Tuesday night was no exception. He finished with 22 points for Deer Creek. Suchy is sneaky-quick and can blow by defenders to get to the rack, but can also shoot the ball from the wing or the key. He is an exceptional finisher at the rim, especially considering his slender, medium frame.
Baron Hopgood 2020 Deer Creek wing
Baron Hopgood was versatile on the floor Tuesday night, both from the wing offensively and the block defensively in the Antlers’ 2-3 zone. An explosive athlete, Hopgood was able to seal and limit post production by utilizing his long arms. He provides a lot of inside relief for the Antlers.
Carson Price 2019 Yukon wing
Carson Price is an exceptional passer from the wing position. He moves the ball well about the floor, particularly on fast-breaks. He can score the ball out of the dribble by getting to the rim, as well. He hustles on both ends and keeps the energy on the court at all times with his motor.
Zach Tretheway 2019 Deer Creek point guard
Zach Tretheway has been a major key to Deer Creek’s success to this point in the season. He routinely hits big shots from the dribble, utilizing his handwork and footwork. He keeps the ball tight and refrains from turning the ball over. Additionally, he is a very talented defensive guard at 5-foot-10-inches with defensive intuition and quick hands to knock the ball away from lackadaisical ball-handlers, keeping the Antlers on the right side of the turnover margin on a nightly-basis.
Jalyn Todd 2019 Deer Creek forward
Jalyn Todd is was and is one of the most vital pieces of what Deer Creek does. He is an often overlooked athlete in the Edmond area, but has the potential to play as well as any swingman. He is a defensive gamer and never lets anything easy cross his face. Todd has long arms, a strong frame, and some height. At 6-foot-4-inches, Todd explodes in the pain to the basket and dealt blows to the Millers all night, especially in the first-half when he slammed one home.
Austin Ruth 2019 Yukon wing
Austin Ruth has great ball-skills and floor vision. The Yukon senior is a talented passer and can toss heat to his post to generate inside scoring or draw fouls. Ruth is a tough, gritty athlete who never leaves the floor without making his presence known to opposing teams.
Desmon Elliot 2019 Yukon forward
Desmon Elliot is a rebounding machine and scoring mogul for Yukon when he’s on the floor. Ruth stands at 6-foot-7-inches and has a thicker build than a lot of tall guys. With that, he was one of the most physical, forceful players on the floor Tuesday night. He kept the ball in Yukon’s possession and out of Deer Creek’s hands with physicality in the board game. Elliot’s wingspan made him very difficult to stop with the ball in the lane.
Jerry Tullis 2020 Deer Creek guard
Jerry Tulles has superb ball-handling abilities at the guard position for the Antlers. The 5-foot-11 junior makes up for where he lacks in stature with great footwork and the ability to create shots for others and to spot up from range.
