Upper State
Clinton HS vs Chapman HS
Clinton HS (8-13) will travel up to Inman to play the Panthers (15-10). The Panthers will look for leadership from Brandon Fortenberry-Smith and Banks Atkins.. Clinton HS will counter with the duo of JD Payne (20.2 ppg) and Ahmari Bates (19.9 ppg)
Camden HS vs Seneca HS
The Bulldogs (13-10) will make the 170 miles trip to play the Wolves in the Upstate. Joseph Goss and Jared Rogers both had solid seasons for the Seneca HS Wolves (11-13).
Chesnee HS vs Newberry HS
Chesnee HS might be (7-19) but don’t count Head Coach Andy Pitt’s squad out. Desmond Tate 22.5 ppg, Ahmad Smith 12 ppg and Alijah Means 11.9 ppg lead the offense.
The Bulldogs will counter with double-double post player Nick Paul and Tyrek Priestley.
Powdersville HS vs Chester HS
Draylan Burton averaged 23.9 ppg this season for the Patriots (11-12).
The Cyclones (9-10) got a late start with the football program winning a AAA State Championship. Undersized post Leon Goldsborough could be a factor in this opening round game.
Fairfield Central HS (Winnsboro) vs Pendleton HS
The Griffins have a young squad and will travel to Pendleton HS. The Bulldogs (16-6) have won 12 of the past 13 games heading into the playoffs. Sidney Mattison 15.4 ppg, Jamal Blakley 13 ppg and Bobby Spear 12 ppg lead the offense.
Union County HS vs Southside HS (Greenville)
Union County HS (14-11) will rely on Ladarius Foster 19.3 ppg. Southside HS has won the past 2 state championships in Class AAA. RJ Campbell will have to step up in the paint for the Tigers (12-5).
Liberty HS vs Keenan HS
The Raiders (25-1) the #1 ranked team all season long have plenty of fire power. Asanti Price 18.1 ppg, Dillon Jones 11.9 ppg, Qua Sanders, Latrell Taylor and Raekwon Horton lead the Raiders offense. Lets hop Liberty HS and Parker Burgess can keep this one close.
Broome HS vs Mid-Carolina HS (Prosperity)
The Centurions (11-13) will rely on Khalil Stringer 23.3 ppg. Stringer currently has 1,284 career points. Aynsly Bowers has led the Rebels to a (16-10) record. Bowers is averaging 12.1 ppg this season.
