Lower State
St John’s HS (Johns Island) vs Creek Bridge HS – Winner plays Bethune-Bowman
The Islanders (14-7) will make the trip to Florence County to play the Warriors. Tyrus Richardson looks to lead the Islanders at 20.1 ppg.
The Warriors have been up and down all season long. Ron Stackhouse has gotten a hot hand of late for the Warriors.
Baptist Hill HS (Hollywood) vs Lake View HS – Winner plays Charleston Math & Science
The Bobcats will make the 3 hour trip (173 miles) up to the South Carolina/North Carolina border to play the Wild Gators. The Bobcats (8-10) will lean on Savion Townsend and Vincent White for leadership.
The Wild Gators will look for Tieray Blue for leadership. Blue is averaging 13.5 ppg this season while teammate Ja’Montrell Waters comes in at 10.9 ppg.
Military Magnet vs Scott’s Branch HS (Summerton) – Winner plays Hemingway HS
The Eagles lost last Friday to C.E. Murray to finish 3rd in the region 53-37. The Eagles (11-11) had 3 players sign with colleges last week for football. Sean Swearinger (Newberry), Amote Brown (Newberry) and Treyshawn Moore (Shepherd University (WV)
Palmetto Scholars (Charleston) vs C.E. Murray HS (Greeleyville) – Winner plays vs Lowcountry Leadership
Prep Hoops has not seen Palmetto Scholars this season.
The War Eagles have some good young talent in Sheldon Bradley, Notorius Grant and Henry Evans. Evans is just a 8th grader and part of the class of 2023.
