Sparkman Senators: Sparkman leads Area 7 with a 4-2 conference record and a 23-8 overall record. The Senators had a good start to their season, winning their first 5 games. They fell to Gadsden City on the road, losing by 4 in their opener for area play. After that, they lost their next area game at home, in overtime, by 1 point to Grissom. However, despite a slow start to area play, the Senators won their remaining 4 area games by an average of 20 points each game. The player to watch out for at Sparkman is Malik Tyson (2019) who is ranked #8 by Prep Hoops Alabama in the Class of 2019.
