The No. 3 seed Corona Centennial High Huskies will play host to the set seed Mater Dei Monarchs in a 7 o’clock clash at Santiago High in Corona.
In the other “Pool B” game being played Tuesday night, the 6 seed St. John Bosco Braves visit Chatsworth to take on No. 1 Sierra Canyon.
The Huskies’ all-junior perimeter of 6-foot-5 Jaylen Clark (PICTURED/who scored 24 points in the Friday night victory over St. John Bosco) and 6-footers Paris Dawson (20 vs. SJB) and D.J. Davis (one of the best deep jump shooters in Southern California) has provided the bulk of Coach Josh Giles’ offense during the team’s 26-3 run.
That trio is likely to be matched up – in some variation – most of the night with the Monarchs’ 6-4 sophomore point guard Devin Askew and juniors in Ryan Evans (a jump shooter certainly on par with Davis in terms of range and accuracy) and Aidan Prukop.
Whenever Askew and Clark are going to head to head, it will be a match-up of two of the mostly recruited players in the west in their respective classes.
