Johnson is a talented young inside-out combo forward who brings a well-rounded skill set, capable of playing on the wing, handling the ball and throwing down a slam. He averaged 13.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, two assists and 1.3 steals per game.
Joe Berry, 6’2, G, 2021, Washburn Rural
Berry has taken his game to new heights this season and brings good size and an all-around skill set to the floor. He handles it well, is a knock-down shooter and is capable of taking it to the basket and scoring in traffic. Berry has a nice floater that he uses and has a long, rangy frame that makes him a versatile defender as well.
Devon Junghans, 5’9, G, 2021, Salina South @DevonJunghans
Junghans is a talented young guard who brings speed, quickness and a big motor to the floor. He is always looking to push the pace and tempo, likes to attack the basket and brings toughness and intensity to the floor. He was a key varsity player a year ago as a freshman, but has taken his game to new heights the season, averaging 11.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
Cory Powell, 6’3, G/F, 2021, Highland Park
Powell has good size and length and plays much bigger than his listed 6’3 height. He has a good feel for scoring in traffic around the basket, but can also play on the perimeter where he handles the ball well and knock down outside shots. Powell is a versatile performer who can defend multiple positions and rebounds well for a wing player.
Charles Snyder, 6’4, F, 2021, Emporia @Charles41Snyder
One of the state’s rising sophomore forwards, Charles Snyder has a terrific feel for scoring around the basket, showcasing good footwork, soft hands and a good touch in the paint. An inside-out player, Snyder can play at the high post or step out to the perimeter and knock down a 3-pointer or drive to the bucket.
