The state of Georgia is a really huge state, obviously, and that means there are plenty of prospects out there still in the 2019 class who have yet to sign or commit to playing basketball at the next level. Below I have pointed out some of the top 2019 prospects who are still on the board and who have skills to play at the next level.
G Alyn Breed (McEachern High School)
The 6-foot-3 combo guard Alyn Breed was one of the main reasons McEachern was one of the top teams in the nation. Playing behind top 2020 PG Sharife Cooper and Auburn commit 2019 F Isaac Okoro, Breed did not really get the recognition he would have received probably at any other lower school. He should certainly be at the top of any college coaches list looking for a quality guard. Breed only has offers from East Carolina, LIU-Brooklyn, Penn, and UAB. He is a solid guard who you can put at the 1 or 2 position and a guard that will put the ball in the basket. Alyn can be known as a scoring guard and it showed throughout the season where he had at least 10 or more 15+ point games. He has good size and is a lockdown defender on the defensive side of the ball.
PG Quinton McElroy (McEachern High School)
Quinton McElroy was another complimentary player on the top talented McEachern squad this season. Although his actually position is a point guard, McElroy played off ball most of the time due to Cooper or Okoro handling the ball. The senior guard sits at 6-foot-2 and will knock down jumpers from the perimeter all day long. Besides his perimeter shooting, McElroy is an underrated playmaker and knows when to make the right play for his team. He is a left-handed point guard who can be super crafty and able to put the ball on the deck drive pass his defender. Quinton holds one offer for now and that is from Robert Morris University.
W Kendall Lewis (Shiloh High School) pictured
Kendall Lewis might be the most intriguing available senior in Georgia. He is an extremely lenghty 6-foot-6 versatile wing that can play the 3-5 position. He holds long arms which assist him on both ends of the floor. Kendall gets most of his buckets inside and around the rim but do not think for a second he cannot hit jumpers from outside the paint. Lewis can be used as a stretch four in some situations due his shot making abilities. He has received offers from Presbyterian College, Kent State, and Tennessee State but received interest as well from other programs.
G Tyrin Lawrence (Morgan County High School)
The 6-foot-3 combo guard Tyrin Lawrence might be the best available prospect in the state of Georgia right now. The senior guard has had a phenomenal season with this Morgan County squad and will be looking to sign to a next level program pretty soon. He is a score first guard with great size and is a quality defender on the defensive side of the ball. He is a left handed guard who can also knock down the outside jumper and take his man off the dribble for a bucket. Tyrin has offers from Austin PEAY, Robert Morris, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, and more.
F Ahmir Langlais (Holy Spirit Prep)
The 6-foot-8 forward Ahmir Langlais is certainly one of the top available bigs in the senior class in the state of Georgia. He shows comparisons, in my opinion anyway, of Tristian Thompson. He holds long athletic arms that help him snag down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Ahmir can be considered as a rebounding machine and gets most of his buckets inside the paint. Playing behind stars like Georgia commit 2019 SG Anthony Edwards, Langlais did not get the recognition he probably would have received else where. Ahmir’s offers right now include Niagra, High Point, Northeastern, Appalachian State, and others.
