Anthony announced last week that he will be making his college decision, today, Monday February 11th at 9am local time. His four choices were between Kentucky, Georgia, Florida State, and North Carolina, who have all been recruiting him very hard. The Holy Spirit Prep school hosted Edwards special decision in the main gym in front of live audience early this morning and where Edwards decided he will be staying home and attending the University of Georgia.
The decision definitely probably caught a few people off guard but this was a choice that was best for Edwards and his family. “The reason I picked the University of Georgia is because it is my home school and I want to put the state school back on the basketball map”, says Edwards. Georgia is in it’s first season with new HC Tom Crean and after landing Edwards, this is certainly a step in the right direction to turn the program around.
Anthony Edwards is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who NBA scouts have been drooling over for over a year now. He is currently projected to be the number one pick in the 2020 NBA Draft or atleast a top-5 lottery pick. He has the NBA ready body and physical tools already to be an NBA player today. He can be known as an efforless scorer and will be a one-and-done for sure at the University of Georgia.
