All-Prep Hoops Team (Central Ohio D4)
Delavontae Jackson (5’11 / G 2019 / Liberty Christian): Being undersized isn’t a problem for the Liberty Christian lead guard. Also, to prove further so, Jackson is leading D4 scorers in the area. Good for 23 points per game, the point guard really can fill it up. Going for atleast 20 points in 16 games this year, the stud Senior has had no problem getting buckets against opposing defenses. A big-time player who is going to be all over the stat-sheet, is a no doubt selection.
Bem Hershberger (5’11 / G 2019 / Shekinah Christian): Shekinah Christian has a couple talented players, and the Senior stand out guard leads the way. Hershberger has been a big time guard for Shekinah this winter. Good for just under 20 PPG, he has been one of the better scorers in D4 basketball, in the area. A guard that has the toughness and knack to score at a high level, is exactly what Hershberger is. An impressive nine games of 20 or more points. Also, a career high 33 point fillet against Christi Rey earlier in the season. Ben Hershberger has been a big part of what Shekinah has been able to do this year, in matter of wins. A well deserved pick for All-Prep Hoops team.
Carter Jones (6’3 / W 2021 / Centerburg): Carter Jones is one of the better Sophomores you will find in the area. Also, already one of the best players in the KMAC conference. Jones is putting up over 16 PPG, doing damage in a haul of ways. A player that is strong for his age already, is tough to stop inside. Also, capable of doing damage from deep and in-between. Centerburg was a solid team in the KMAC this year, and that was testimonial to how well Carter Jones played. Already the biggest contributor for the Trojans. The under class-men was one of the better D4 players in the area this season.
Joel headings (6’2 / G 2020 / Shekinah Christian): The second part of the Shekinah Christian scoring duo is Joel Headings. Headings was a consistent scorer for the Shekinah team, including a 30-point outburst. Putting up just under 15 points per contest, Headings has the will to be a major contributor every game. Scoring in double-digits on 12 different occasions this year, is a solid stat for the Junior. Another deserving pick for the D4 squad.
Dylan James (2019 / Danville): Dylan James was one of those smaller school athletes that could flat out score. Averaging over 16 PPG, James was a consistent scorer. One of a couple standout scorers for this Danville team, which really carried the team as a whole. With nine games of 15 or more points, James showed scoring consistency, which is big. A sleeper pick for this years D3 All-Prep Hoops Team.
